Athletes frequently experience ankle injuries ranging from acute sprains and fractures to overuse conditions and impingement syndrome. Dr. Laric provides specialised care for sports related ankle pathologies, including ankle ligament sprains/tears, syndesmotic injuries, osteochondral lesions, ankle impingement and ankle fractures. Dr. Laric has extensive experience in treating achilles tendon tears, whether acute or chronic, and achilles tendinopathies (insubstance or insertional).
Dr. Laric has experience in treating other common foot conditions such as tendinopathies, plantar fasciitis, nerve entrapment syndromes (tarsal tunnel syndrome, Morton's neuroma), flatfoot (developmental or acquired), foot tumours, and foot deformities such as hallux valgus and lesser toe deformities (claw, hammer, mallet toes). Charcot foot conditions, including pathological midfoot collapse, diabetic neuropathies, and septic ulcers, are referred to foot surgeons with an interest in this field.
